Brief personal history of Grand Cr. PROF. MANLIO CADELO
He was born in Siena Italy.
After having finished the high school in Italy, he went to Paris and he attended the Sorbonne University for 4 years studying French literature and foreign languages, his major is Etymology. He speaks 7 languages including Japanese. During his stay in Paris, France he has attended summer University studies in Siena, Italy, Mangold Language Institute in Madrid, University of Wien. After his graduation in Etymology, he started to work as assistant journalist for the editorial Group CORRIERE DELLA SERA publishing group in Milano. His first visit to Japan was in 1964, for the Tokyo Olympic Games. He was appointed in 1975 correspondent Journalist in Japan where he worked as correspondent and chief manager for several Italian Publish companies, until 1999. He is still member of Italian National Journalist Association, Japan National Press Club, Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry a board of trade. In 1999 he was appointed Consul General of the Republic of San Marino in Japan. Because of his various activities in promoting the Republic of San Marino in Japan and in the Far East, he received the following decorations:

2002 Was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of the Republic of San Marino in Japan.
2011 Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Japan
2011 Appointed Honorary Professor of Tokyo International University
2012 Appointed as a Special Advisor for National Tourism Agency in Japan
2017 Appointed as an Honorary Ambassador of Munakata city in Fukuoka Kyushu,
2018 Appointed as an Honorary Ambassador of Taketomi and Iriomote Okinawa islands.
2020 Awarded with Honorary Ph.D. in from Reitaku University.
